Since the county jail website does not publish a bed count, the 60 figure should be described as reported current operating capacity rather than a county-published facility specification.

The same report listed seven female detainees, six municipal-court holds, 25 arrests in the previous week, six people waiting on Larned State Hospital evaluations, one person waiting seven months, and two juveniles housed in regional detention facilities. Those details explain why facility population is not just a daily roster number. Holds, evaluations, city cases, and overflow housing can all affect where a person is found.

Mail and Money at McPherson County Jail
